• Thomas E. Reed is the founder of the international model and artist group, Miami Models (South Beach) founded in 1995. With clients: Polo Black Label, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Ralph Lauren, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, MTV, Luv’s and Polo Black Label. He has booked or represented the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders, Serena Williams, Lenny Kravitz, and NFL Cornerback, Michael Rumph.

• Until the age of two, Thom lived in Cherry Hills Colorado, at the home of William Roosevelt the grandson of President Roosevelt. His grandmother was the Governess for the household. Thom's family moved back to New England in 1963. 

• His father, Dr. Howard Reed, was an attorney and town selectmen in Canaan Connecticut. His mother Nancy, a radio personality and station director for WKZE 98.1 FM. His Mother also owned a small Diner in Sheffield, MA. The Village on the Green. He has a younger brother Matthew, a longtime employee of the Skip Barber Racing School. 

• Thom attended Monument Mountain High School in Gt Barrington, MA. He was a member of the wrestling team and photography club. He later attended Northwestern Connecticut Community College, but left several credits short of graduating. His career started in Hartford, where he worked as stage manager for North East Concerts, (Agora Ballroom) and shot fashion runway for "Sage-Allen & Co".

• By the age of 26, he was the stage manager and photographer for Club Getaway (Singles Cub) where he met Danielle Gallo, the Art Director for Penthouse Magazine. In 1986, Gallo invited Reed to Omni-Penthouse in New York. She befriended Reed and encouraged him to shoot slide film, and informed him on the inner workings of the industry. With a renewed vigor, Thom moved to South Florida and found opportunities in Miami, shooting fashion models and composite cards for agencies, Michelle Pommier Models, Wilhelmina, The Greene Agency, World of Kids and Click. He also found work as an associate producer, for Five Star Productions, underwritten by John Paul Mitchell Systems. The syndicated television series was, "Today's Health", with Tennis Pro Chris Evert.

• In 1995, Reed founded Miami Models, a soon sought-after management group with a talent pool of over 700. Miami Models was renowned for its Children's Board, and European Print. He dabbled in fashion runway, staffing models for Ocean Drive, and the Pangaea Club, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. He has booked talent on CSI Miami, Bad Boys 2, Miami Vice, Transporter 2, MacDonald’s, Nickelodeon, and Telemundo. • The Reed UFO Incident made International headlines in 2015 when it became the Nation’s first UFO encounter to be officially inducted into the archives of the United States, as "Historically Significant and True". This official induction consisted of two State Citations by Massachusetts Governor, Charles D. Barker, and Lieutenant Governor Karyn E. Polito. The Massachusetts Historical Society also issued an official State induction in February of 2015.  Following this first of a kind entry into State’s antiquity, a 5000-pound commemorative Monument was unveiled. The induction and the unveiling of the UFO Monument graced the front page of the Boston Globe, and was covered live by ABC News NY. Judge Kevin W. Titus of the 30th district court later sealed the records by Governor Charles D. Baker and the Historical Society, declaring them uncontested lawful documents. In 2018, the Historical Marker Database added the UFO Monument to its library of official landmarks. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Seal was then added to the front of the UFO Monument.

UFO Encounter in the U.S.

• The incident involving his family and their 1960's Diner made United States history in 2015 becoming the 1st UFO related case to be officially inducted into state history as historically significant and true.

• In October  2015, Governor Charles D. Baker signed and issued a citation formally inducting the Reed encounter and Thom Reed into Massachusetts State history. Following a polygraph exam, and archives by historians that confirmed the incident had altered the national progression of the area, the incident was publicly inducted by State and the Historical Society. This decision was celebrated by the unveiling of a 5000-pound monument with live coverage by ABC News NY. The incident and records are now rightfully part of the Historical Society's Collection. The Thom Reed UFO incident was selected as the S1 E1 launch of Discovery Channel's Alien Mysteries and the S1 E1 launch of Travel Channels Paranormal Paparazzi. Other films include New England Legends and Science Channel's Uncovering Aliens. Reed has been the subject of six (6) documentaries and feature films, with guest appearances on the Fox Morning Show, and the Canada Morning Show. Reed was featured as himself, in films CSI Miami, Inside-out and the 2017 Hollywood Movie “Encounter” with actors Pete Stormare (Bad Boys 2 Fargo & John Wick 2) and Dee Wallace (ET)   Reed is the son of Nancy (Burrows) Reed, FM radio personality for WKZE, owner of Village on the Green Restaurant in Sheffield, MA, who also bred horses. His step-father, Dr. Howard Reed, an Attorney and Connecticut Politician. From 1960 through 1962, Thom lived in the home of William Roosevelt, the grandson of President Roosevelt in Cherry Hills, Colorado. His mother, Nancy, and grandmother were employed by the Roosevelt’s with residence on the property. By 1963 Reed would move to a home in Sheffield, Massachusetts, just miles from the Barrington Horse Track. In this quaint Norman Rockwell setting, Thom and his family would undergo life-altering events. Due to Thom’s vulnerable age, these compounded encounters had an enormous impact, crushing his belief system, altering his reality, normalcy, and spirit. His recall of Sept 1, 1969, is one of an illuminated craft ascending from the water while exiting the Sheffield Bridge. Their car engulfed in light, weightlessness then a dead silence. An eruption of crickets and then Thom’s standing in an enormous open area reminiscent of an airplane hangar. Grabbed firmly on his left arm and walked to an area where cylinder shaped equipment was lowered from above. Now back in their station wagon, but his mother and grandmother's locations are reversed with his mother now in the passenger seat. The incident of September 1, 1969, made news on Barrington's WSBS Radio, as they and the local police department became flooded with reports of a disk-shaped object.
